Information You Submit
A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider’s policy applies to its processing.
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the information needed to respond. We do not disclose the message beyond our organization unless the law requires it.
Automatic Technical Details
Routine logs and service providers may collect technical information when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser type and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages visited and time spent on them;
- the referring page or site, when supplied; and
- access dates and timestamps.

Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, you may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, request correction of inaccurate data, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. A request can be sent through Contact Us. These choices concern data controlled by us. A sheriff record or another website’s data must be addressed to that source. North Carolina Chapter 132 governs public government records and does not itself make us the custodian of Union County records.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as services or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with its new effective date.
