Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Union County Recent Arrests. By using the site, you agree to follow them. If you do not accept these conditions, do not use the site.

This privately owned reference has no affiliation with Union County, a sheriff, jail, court, NCDAC, or another government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a consumer report or an FCRA-covered service for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. The site helps readers locate jail and public-record resources in Union County and North Carolina. It is not a private-investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

Union County Recent Arrests is a private informational resource. It holds no official arrest, court, or custody files and cannot confirm custody, release a person, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its pages point toward sheriff rosters, booking feeds, court systems, state resources, and outside research tools. An outbound link does not make the linked operator part of this service.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use of the service is conditioned on responsible and lawful conduct. You may not:

  • violate a law through or in connection with the site;
  • stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten another person;
  • use information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another prohibited eligibility decision;
  • attempt access to systems or data without authorization;
  • operate bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools; or
  • interfere with the site or another visitor’s access.

No Consumer Reporting Services

Union County Recent Arrests is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It offers no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening product, and its advertising partners do not provide those services through this site. You agree not to use any information obtained here for:

  • hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment decision;
  • tenant selection or a housing decision;
  • creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing;
  • licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility; or
  • any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Links to Outside Providers

Links can lead to jail rosters, booking feeds, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, legal-aid resources, and private search services. We do not operate those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, or data handling. Review each provider’s own terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that:

  • information will always be accurate, complete, or current;
  • access will be continuous or uninterrupted;
  • the service will be free from errors, bugs, or security flaws; or
  • a partner search will return complete or useful results.

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement by the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Union County Detention Center, a court, or any government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Union County Recent Arrests and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Ownership and Permissions

Text, original graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Union County Recent Arrests or the applicable content partner. You may not copy, distribute, republish, or modify protected material without prior written permission, except where law permits.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions at any time. New terms become effective when they are posted on this page, and continued use after posting constitutes acceptance.

Suspension of Access

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

North Carolina Law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina. Chapter 132 governs access to state and local public records but does not change these private-site terms.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
